Bringing old films back remastered or in 3D is becoming the new in thing. Easy money and milking that cow. Something we should all say no to in hopes of great new ideas which will become the new Jurassic Parks and Back To The Futures. But when you see it is a film you just simply adore, it is hard to resist. A tactic which works as far as I’ve seen. The Lion King is the next in line and they’ve brought it back with new 3D effects. Nothing else has changed, Simba still learns about the stars in the sky and experiences life, death and responsibility. Timon and Pumbaa are still simply hilarious and the final battle still holds great power for the viewers. Just now you can see the foreground and background split with added depth. It looks nice, it was fun seeing it on the big screen. Still great at 22. There is nothing so wrong about re-releases really… just wonder what happens when they run out of the classics. Super Mario Bros The Movie in 3D?  Hakuna Matata.
