The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 43,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 10 Film Festivals

Happy birthday JoeRayW.wordpress.com! Three years old today and he’s finally learnt how to speak. He said: ‘I want to die!’ How cute! Hopefully he will turn his crawl into a full on walk this year. The third year was a rather safe one. After the first year experimented to see what worked and the second year started to refine things a little, year three just carried on trucking as I went through my final year of university. A lot of opinions, but that’s what people seem to like the most here, so opinions it is.
I think waking up is rubbish.
I don’t like peanut butter.
Walking is rather clichéd.
And so here’s to another year of them! Though I think the fourth year should move into more Typhoo type areas. Outside of the opinions, the Typhoo entries were what I enjoyed the most. It was something you couldn’t get anywhere else and that’s what I think is needed.
You can’t get Lucky Charms in Tesco.
But you can get Chicken Lasagna.
And now for the stats:
162, 087 views
A lot of numbers, they certainly mean something.
Thanks for listening, even when I’m not. Year Four go!
One thousand blogs now, quite an achievement. Even if some recent ones have been a touch on the short side. But that is a training regime I’m going through at the moment; to put everything into not much at all. It might come in handy one day I’m sure. Just over two years it took and I don’t really know if I’ve learnt or gained anything by blogging. Just stuck in a panic-stricken OCD. Instead of a bout of panic buying, it would be a state of panic blogging. You say you’ll be frequent, then you have to be frequent, even if you want to shut it all down.
Here’s to another thousand entries of rubbish!
Happy birthday blog, I didn’t buy you a card though. Two years today I began on WordPress and everything is still going strong! Many times in the last year I’ve thought of stopping, but then just as I’m about to someone tells me how they enjoyed that review or that feature. The desire comes back and I made it to the second year. People still reading after so long and having to put up with so much nonsense are what keeps the place alive. Year two may have been a safer year than year one, but let’s look at what went on.
May, much like this now, was a time of deadlines and moving out. Content kept pouring out though, mainly poems and game reviews. From stress to nothing to do it seems. I also made a short story with added pictures. My amazing art reduced one man to tears. Tears which caused him to completely redo all my work in fancy 3D. My first outsourced remake. Growing up so fast. Continue reading
For a change. A breath of fresh air and I can move easier around here.
This blog is ready for some changes now a year has passed and I don’t have the Liverpool survival fight to go through for a while. This promised improvement has been promised for a while now… but it is finally nearly there, just a little more thinking and the right mindset. The same features should appear but I’m thinking a set format for reviews and a bigger focus on creative writing as that is what my main aim is. Here is a list of some new bits of info which should lead to excitement and ease. At the same time! Continue reading
